Service Description

3rd Marking Period: ScratchJr Storytelling & Early Coding (Grades 1–2) In this session, our youngest coders explore the foundations of computer science through storytelling, animation, and interactive projects using ScratchJr. Students learn key concepts like sequencing, events, loops, and debugging while bringing their ideas to life on screen. Whether students are brand new or returning with experience, everyone is up and coding within the first 20 minutes. As they grow more confident, students are encouraged to extend their projects, explore more advanced features, and push their creativity further. Each class ends with a Show & Tell, where students practice demonstrating their projects, explaining how they work, and celebrating one another’s ideas—building communication skills, confidence, and pride in their work.
