Service Description

Thursdays– 8-week tech-focused STEM after-school program for 1st & 2nd graders at North Star Elementary. We’re excited to kick off the school year with Fall Into Coding — a seasonal blend of science, creativity, and coding fun! 🍂 In this session, students will explore the science of gravity and motion through hands-on experiments like paper helicopters and leaf parachutes, then bring their ideas to life by coding themed animations and games. Our project-based learning approach encourages both independence and collaboration. From Weeks 3–7, students will design their own projects, applying computer science fundamentals and project design skills while following their own interests. Whether your child is brand-new to coding or already has some experience, they’ll feel right at home. Using Scratch or ScratchJr, students of all levels are welcome—no prior knowledge needed, just creativity! With a student-to-coach ratio of at least 8:1, every child receives the support they need to thrive in both group and one-on-one settings. The program will culminate in a Fall Showcase where students proudly share their favorite project. Families are invited to join us in celebrating their creativity, problem-solving skills, and accomplishments.
