STEAM Quest Lab Think. Build. Test. Code. STEAM Quest Lab is our one-of-a-kind back-to-school STEAM adventure, blending the best of Science Olympiad-style challenges, Odyssey of the Mind-style creativity, and Kai Coders hands-on coding! This fun, high-energy camp helps kids jump back into problem-solving, teamwork, creativity, and confidence before the new school year begins. Led by Delaware STEM Council’s 2025 Community Teacher of the Year, Coach Deanna Bledsoe, campers will learn from a former Science Olympiad coach and award-winning Odyssey of the Mind coach who has led multiple teams to State Championships, World Finals, and a World Championship win. Each day, campers will dive into a different Science Olympiad-inspired theme, then bring it to life through hands-on building, creative problem-solving, testing, and coding. For example, during Barge Building, campers will start with a spontaneous teamwork challenge, explore the science of buoyancy, test their designs through a Science Olympiad-style event, add an Odyssey-style creative twist with a custom cardboard-and-foil boat build, and then code the concept into a game, animation, how-to project, or interactive story. Camp runs August 24–28, 9:00 AM–3:00 PM, and the cost is $425. Drop-off is 8:45–9:00 AM and pick-up is 3:00–3:15 PM. Held at Wilmington Community Evangelical Church, located at 1512 Brackenville Rd, Hockessin, DE.
